Image Handler

Performing an upgrade is very much like starting from "scratch" on a new website, with the exception of the aesthetic design / logo / header, etc. The program has to be reinstalled, the database updated or replaced, the old design files updated to the current version and more.

As Zencart is upgraded, so are the modifications that go with the program. This price is for an upgrade of the store with no modification upgrade. This modification allows you to populate a zen cart database by using a spreadsheet.

If you have a site with many items, this could be a great mod for you. For example, say you have 1000 products and would like to increase the price by 5 %. Once your items are set up in Zen cart, you can download them into an Excel spreadsheet, make the necessary price changes, then use Easy Populate to upload the products back into the database! Something that could take hours and hours to do, was just cut down to an hour or less!

No site with 100 or more products should be without Easy Populate.

This modification to zen cart is great to use if you have more than one person who will be logging into your zencart admin because it allows you to set up specific areas that each "admin" can access.

So, for example.... if you have an assistant that just fills orders and you do not want to give them full access to your admin area, like ability to add products, change shipping, etc etc... then you can restrict their access with this mod.

2CheckOut Payment Module

This module has been designed to work with the latest 2checkout procedure. With this in mind, it is designed to inform 2checkout of the products you are selling. This is over-rideable in the admin for the module. In order for this to work, and the products to be displayed on the 2checkout pages, you must download a copy of your products table to a CSV file, and then uplaod it to the 2Chrckout admin page. I recommend using EasyPopulate for this, although you will need to alter the CSV file you get when you perform a standard export.

This module currently uses the Authorize.Net protocol for sending information to the 2CO server. The 2CO protocal is available, but untested within the module. The parameters required are commented out within the scripting.

Currently 2CO supports both its own protocol and the Authorize.Net protocol, however, the two cannot be mixed.

When you use this script, you will notice that one completing the transaction, your uses are sent from 2CO to a page that redirects them to the Zen Cart. This page is the process_2checkout page. It is necessary as 2CO will not return customers to a page with an active divert in the header.

INSTALL Admin Security and PCI Compliance Fixes

On 6/21/09, the Zen Cart development team sent out an announcement that they had been informed of a security flaw in the admin area of all versions of zen cart and released a fix for that which is available from the zen cart web site.� If you need help installing this fix, I can do it for you.

Because of the urgency of this problem, I am trying to handle everyone as quickly as possible and work them in with jobs that I already have scheduled.

In order to streamline this, I will need you to fill out this form (opens in a new window) after you have paid for what you need done.

Also, they are recommending that the /admin folder be changed to something different.

They also have released a PCI compliance fix that I can also include in this base price to install if you need it.� If you have an SSL certificate, please make sure you tick the box for this fix.

A vulnerability has been discovered in the admin section of v1.3.8 (and previous versions). To take advantage of this vulnerability any attacker must know the URL of your admin section. As our security recommendations point out, you should change the folder that your admin resides in as soon as you� installed Zen Cart.

The zip file there contains a readme.html with full details on how to install the security patch files. The security patch uses Zen Cart's override system to make installation as simple as possible.

The security patch will work for previous versions in the 1.3.x series.

However we strongly advise anyone using the 1.2.x versions to upgrade to 1.3.8 as soon as possible.

Save Your Sideboxes to be Default for other templates

Make your current layout settings (i.e. for your current template) be the default.

You'll get a new button at the bottom of the layout boxes controller screen (admin-_tools-_layout boxes controller)
which updates the layouts defaults to match the settings you have for your current template.
It means that if you switch to a new template, you'll be able to use the reset button (already there) to restore 'your' default sidebox settings.

Important to note: if you have sideboxes installed in one template, but not another one, you will be able to tell in your admin which sideboxes are missing so you can install them in the other template.

For Zen Cart 1.3.7+ Recover Cart Sales Tool is an admin utility for Zen Cart allowing merchants to send individual or bulk email messages to customers whom have set up a shop account and added items to their shopping cart, but for various reasons did not complete submitting an order (this is known as an 'abandoned cart').

The tool also generates a report listing the "possible" response to your email, informing you if customer followed up with a purchase from your shop. PDF Order Center is an alternative to the default ZC order processing setup
in Admin::Customer::Orders for people who want to print PDF instead of HTML files.
Like the default setup, PDFOC allows you to update order status, optionally

an invoice or packing slip for an order. But PDFOC also allows you to:

This modification will allow you to accept newsletter subscriptions from people who have not yet created an account. If at such time they create an account, the information flows over into their account area.

This mod will create a new sidebox for the subscription to the newsletter. It includes an "opt-in" method where the person who is signing up for the newsletter will receive an email that has a link they will have to click in order to finalize the subscription. This provides a layer of protection for you from robots and spammers.

With this newsletter modification, you can also import newsletter subscribers from an Excel spreadsheet and it will automatically set them as confirmed.

This Zen Cart mod puts a drop down box on your login page so that when people sign up for an account on your site, they can choose how they found your website. This is good to keep track of where your customers are coming from - especially if you are doing an advertising campaign.

Currently the selections are: Yahoo, Google, MSN, AOL, ZenCart and Other. Installation includes changing these selections to whatever you prefer.

Group Pricing Per Item Zencart Mod Installation

This mod allows you to specify up to 4 extra pricing structures for your customers per item. So... if you have say wholesale, retail, partners and friends that you want different prices for, you can have this mod installed and when you enter an item into your store, it will show the breakdown where you can enter each individual price for the item!

When your customer logs in to the site (once you have applied a group to their customer ID) then the pricing they see will be that of the group you have assigned them to.

This mod comes in handy if you don't want to give "straight percentage" group discounts and want to give individual pricing per item to different groups.
